Sisal Twine

Our natural sisal twines are superior quality and come in two-ply and three-ply options; making them ideal for use as general packaging twines. Much stronger than standard cotton twines, sisal twines are perfect for packaging heavier loads. The rough texture provides great grip and works very effectively in oily situations.

What is sisal?

Sisal is the fibre made from the Mexican Agave sisalana plant; which yields a strong, stiff fibre for use in many products and applications – particularly ropes, twines and matting.

What can I use sisal twine for?

  • Great for outdoor and garden use – e.g. tying tomatoes to stakes and supporting plants
  • Buffing cloth
  • Clothes line
  • Packaging and cargo handling
  • Bundling
  • Crafting
  • Toys and fun activities – e.g. playing cat’s cradle
  • Weaving – making placemats, coasters etc.
  • Hanging tools or other items

Sisal fibre is both strong and sturdy and great for outdoor use, due to its resistance to deterioration in saltwater – also see our sisal rope; perfect for decking.
