Anchor Lines

Made from three-strand, white nylon, our anchor lines are pre-spliced with a stainless steel thimble eye at one end – making them sturdy and secure. Not only that, they are hardwearing and great value for money. Available in standard lengths but optional special order lengths are available upon request.

Tips for using anchor lines

  • Check the seabed – mud, silt and clay are good for most anchor types
  • Put out fenders if there are going to be other yachts nearby
  • Check water depth, make sure you can still be afloat at low water and have let out enough rope to remain anchored at high water
  • Measuring the scope – you could use a colour code of cotton threads bound around the rope/warp matching certain measurements e.g. yellow for 5m, blue for 10m, green for 20m
  • Signals – generally, you need to display an anchor ball by day and an all-round white light by night

Lengths and diameters: Available in standard lengths of 50m with diameters ranging from 8mm to 14mm
