• Lifejackets should be worn for anyone heading out on a boat
• Environmental awareness is key – check weather and water conditions before heading out and monitor for changes and map out points of safety to head to
• Strong winds, current, waves, cold waters and darkness make recreational boating activities much more dangerous
• When anchoring, make sure signals are correct – anchor balls by day, all-round white lights by night
• Make sure you stock up with the right personal flotation devices that meet your needs
