12mm – ‘Everlasto’ sisal decking rope.
The 12 mm sisal rope is suited to medium and heavy decorative projects in the garden or home. It offers strength, sunlight resistance and very little stretch which makes it reliable for outdoor use. Its thicker diameter gives a bold and natural finish for larger borders, feature edges and creative landscaping tasks. The rope remains flexible enough for easy installation while keeping its traditional natural fibre appearance. Because sisal is a natural rope it can shrink slightly when wet. To prevent shrinkage, we recommend treating the rope before use in outdoor projects.
It is made from natural fibres taken from the Agave sisalana plant. These fibres are twisted into a strong three strand rope.
Yes. It can be used outdoors once it has been treated with decking oil or a water resistant spray.
We stock 10m, 50m, 60m, 100m and 220m lengths in our 10mm sisal rope. We recommend adding at least fifteen percent to your measurements because natural rope can shrink slightly when wet.
Yes. Sisal rope can be cut. Use sharp tools and tape the area before cutting to keep the ends neat.
12mm sisal rope works well for larger borders, feature edging, plant support and decorative garden projects.
Natural fibres can darken when exposed to sunlight or moisture. Treatment helps protect the rope and slow this change.
This rope is intended for decorative and light load use. Heavy lifting should be done with synthetic rope designed for strength.
Apply treatment regularly to help protect the fibres. For indoor use, keeping the rope clean and dry when possible will also help its lifespan. For outdoor use, we recommend applying a decking oil or water repellent treatment to maintain your sisal rope.
